Objectives & Philosophy of Care
The Registered Manager
will manage the Care Home on a day-to-day basis supported by
the Proprietors.
Philosophy
• To create an environment in which the residents can live
and develop according to their individual wishes and
capabilities.
Aims
• To provide quality Care, comfort and contentment.
• To provide a level of Care that is appropriate to
individual needs following assessment and planning.
• To provide essential requirements, ie. accommodation,
food, lighting, heating, occupation and social activities,
etc.
• To create a safe environment in which the residents can
feel secure and can establish and strengthen family and
social ties.
• To continually reinforce our philosophy that residents
should be treated with dignity and respect at all times.
• To encourage individual residents to experience and
continue activities outside the Home, ie. holidays, social
visits etc. of their choosing.
• To keep rules to a minimum and leave residents free to
live their lives the way they choose.
• Staff will be encouraged to further training by courses
and study days.
Objectives
Residents will be encouraged to:
• Take pride in their appearance
• Personalise their own rooms
• Make suggestions for improving the service they receive
• Make full use of the Home and its facilities
